At Sarratt School we take pride in balancing the traditional values of a village school with the curriculum and infrastructure appropriate to 21st century education.
In order to support families in the process of moving on to Secondary school, resources are made available here.
The information detailed below relates to pupils looking to start Secondary school in September 2014 (i.e. pupils born between 1 September 2002 and 31 August 2003).

World Maths Day will be celebrated on 7th March 2013 and this year we intend to take our maths stories and poems to new heights - quite literally! See the flyer attached for details.
Sarratt School closed on Monday 11th February due to a disruption to the power supply that happened shortly before 8am.
Prior to this, staff and parents, as well as our dedicated archery coach, had made their way in to school and begun to help the snow clearing process.
Despite, with wonderful help, being ready to open, the school was forced to close.
Power has since been restored and hopefully will persist through the rest of the week without interruption.
Thank you for your support and patience!
Dear Reception Parents,
Please find a list of the Tricky Words, and an accompanying letter, that Reception children are practising.
Today the children all learnt about building bug hotels for insects and other small creatures to shelter in. We plan to build 2 of these in the new Wildlife Garden in the week beginning Monday 11th February, just before the half-term break...
See attached letter for the full story.
Congratulations to the Year 6 Indoor Athletics Team who performed very well at Royal Masonic School in the partnership competition. The event was attended by lots of Primary schools in the area who are all part of the Three Rivers Partnership.
The boys' team consisted of Ted, Matthew, Charles, Finlay, Jayan, Theo and Jacob. The girls' team consisted of Tiffany, Sarah, ChloeL, Katherine, ChloeS, Kathleen and Katie.
Everyone took part in the running and field events, gaining a massive 402 points!! They all worked very hard and supported each other throughout the event.
A number of Sarratt School parents gave their time and energy this week to help clear the remaining snow.
Below is a poem one child wrote to say 'Thank You'
WORKING IN THE SNOW
THE SNOW IS PILING ON THE FLOOR
THE CHILDREN ARE RUNNING OUT THE DOOR
IT’S FEELING LIKE CHRISTMAS AGAIN
THE PARENTS ARE WORKING HARD OUTSIDE.
ALL THE ICE AND SNOW IS CLEARED!
